Habitree

Privacy Policy

Last updated September 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Habitree (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you use the Habitree app at app.habitree.co.uk. We keep the data we collect to the minimum needed to run the app.

Who we are

Habitree is a calming, ADHD-friendly routine tracker. For any privacy questions, or to exercise your rights below, contact us at privacy@habitree.co.uk.

Data we collect

  • Account details — your name and email address, and a securely hashed version of your password (we never store your password in readable form).
  • App data — the tasks, reminders, points, streaks, plant growth, themes, sounds, and other progress you create in the app.
  • Payment records — when you buy an unlock, our payment processor (Stripe) handles your card details. We only receive confirmation of what you bought and whether the payment succeeded — we never see or store your full card number.
  • Basic usage analytics — anonymised, aggregated usage data to understand how the app performs.

How we use your data

  • To create and secure your account and keep you signed in.
  • To save and sync your routine, progress, and purchases across your devices.
  • To process the unlocks you choose to buy.
  • To keep the app reliable, secure, and free of abuse.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

Where your data is stored

Your account and app data are stored in a managed PostgreSQL database (Neon) and served through Vercel. Payments are processed by Stripe. Each of these providers maintains its own security and compliance standards.

Cookies

We use a single essential cookie to keep you securely signed in. It is required for the app to function and is not used for tracking or advertising.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data.
  • Export a copy of your data.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing.

To make any of these requests, email privacy@habitree.co.uk. We will respond within the timeframes required by law.

Children

Habitree is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can remove it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.

A note on this document

This policy is provided as a starting template and should be reviewed by a qualified legal professional before you rely on it for a live service. Placeholder details (such as the contact email and company information) should be confirmed and updated to match your business.
